ABOUT ZALA ĐURIć RIBIč

Slovenian singer-actor whose film credits include the 2008 film Tractor, Love & Rock'n Roll and the 2021 film Not So Friendly Neighborhood Affair. She has also branched out into poetry and musical composition. She has 20,000 followers on Instagram.

In school, she started writing poetry because of her dyslexia. Even though she really didn't know how good she was, her Slovene language teacher read it and passed it on to Slovene poet Boris A. Novak, who encouraged her to keep writing. And she pursued acting in New York while working as a babysitter.

Her parents named her after a brand of yogurt. She's also a writer. In 2016, she came out with, Sbrka Poezije (A Mess of Poetry), a book of poems. And in 2020 she released a children's book, Samorog Samo (Unicorn Just).

She is the daughter of comic actor Branko Duric and actor-singer Tanja Ribič.

She appeared in the 2003 film Cheese and Jam, which her father Branko wrote and directed.
