ABOUT ZARI HASSAN
Best known for her prolific singing career throughout the African continent. In 2008, she won the Channel O Music Video Award for East African Artist of the Year. Her musical fame has helped her amass over 12 million followers on Instagram.
She attended school in London and graduated with a degree in cosmetology. She began singing at an early age and participated in various primary school-sponsored karaoke concerts.
In 2009, she won the Diva Award for Diva of the Year in the Diaspora category. She has earned the title of Uganda's Finest Socialite by various African and European media outlets.
She was born and raised in Jinja, Uganda. She has four kids. She married her first husband Ivan Semwanga in 2001 until 2013. He tragically passed away in a coma in 2017.
Her second marriage was to pop singer Diamond Platnumz .
