ABOUT Zé RAMALHO

Iconic Brazilian singer and guitarist whose music has spanned numerous genres across his career, including rock 'n' roll, forró and progressive rock. Some of his best-known hits include "Entre a Serpente e a Estrela," "Chão de Giz" and "Kryptônia."

He spent most of his childhood in Campina Grande before moving to João Pessoa. He wrote Cordel literature prior to his musical career.

He is an author who published the book Carne de Pescoço in 1980.

He was born in Brejo do Cruz, PB, Brazil. He has children named Christian, Wilson, Linda and João. He married Roberta Ramalho in 1984 and was previously married to singer Amelinha.

He recorded the album O Grande Encontro (1996) with his cousin, singer Elba Ramalho .
